Summary: A mental ward is meant to keep those who couldn't fit in to society in a safe way. For the most part, it's a tragic last resort. But imagine if you had to send someone away, and they got reduced to soul cattle for a beast straight out of Hell...

History: Around the time St. Andrews Mental Hospital was founded, the doctors found ancient texts and rituals describing things revolving around Satanism. Pretty soon, at least one of the doctors became consumed by obsession with the occult, and in time, he had one for himself. Their mission? Deliver the souls of the committed to the Harvester, a powerful archdemon who delivers souls to Satan. Bad news for a person eager to work at the hospital, currently unaware of what goes on behind closed doors...

Notable Kills: Takes souls with the power of B-grade lightning effects.

Final Fate: The Harvester does not take sides. So when the lead cultist is the only one in the room after the survivors escape, he gets his soul taken instead. However, there are still people using the hospital to deliver people to the demon, so the next time you see St. Andrews personnel rounding people up, try a different looney bin instead.

Powers/Abilities: Soul-stealing.

Scariness Factor: 4-If you're ever committed and you get sent here, may God have mercy on your soul. The Harvester is the last thing you want to see in a mental ward. Looking like a death metal mascot and with the powers to match, it is only held back by some cheesy power effects.

Trivia: -This film is more commonly known as "Hellborn".

-One of the worst asylums in real life may not have had an archdemon lurking in the shadows, but there's a reason Pennsylvania's Pennhurst Asylum ended up the central focus of an expose named "Suffer the Little Children". In short, it was actually a place for mostly immigrants, mentally handicapped, and homeless folk to be abused, neglected, and "taught" by inept teachers, with punishments for bad behavior including painful injections. For this and much more, it was closed in 1987.
